Human SUMO I, active (Catalog # P012) Description: The active human SUMO I (the 1-97 animo acid region of the Ubiquitin-like protein SMT3C precursor [access no: Q93068, also called Ubiquitin-homology domain protein PIC1, Ubiquitin-like protein UBL1, Ubiquitin-related protein SUMO-1, GAP modifying protein 1, GMP1, and Sentrin]) is produced from a E. coli expression system, prepared from freshly extracted cell lysates, and purified to homogeneity using methods developed by Corgen Inc. The final fraction of enzyme contains a single polypeptide band of 11 kDa. The predicted molecular weight of hSOMO I is 11 KDa. The The final fraction of enzyme contains single polypeptide band of approximately 20 kDa on SDS PAGE. Concentration: SUMO I, active is supplied at the concentration of 1 µg/µl (Cat # P012: 30µg/tube, 30µl/tube). The recommended working concentration is 50 µg/ml. Storage Buffer: The final fraction of SUMO I is an affinity column pool and is in the following buffer: 10 mM Tris-Cl, pH 7.5, 100 mM NaCl, 100 mM imidazole, 0.5 mM PMSF, 1 mM DTT, and 10 % glycerol. The enzyme is stable in this buffer at -20~70ºC. In general, the enzyme is less stable when diluted. We don¡¦t recommend any dilution of the enzyme. Shipping/Storage: The enzyme is shipped on blue ice and must be stored at -20ºC or lower. Legal consideration: FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY.
